This workshop, held 3 consecutive evenings, focuses on using the NDT Practice Model in treating the child with hypotonia. Specific strategies to improve motor control in this population will be presented. Treatment strategies based on the common impairments of the sensorimotor system in this population will be demonstrated through the use of videotapes, case studies and practice labs. Participants will problem solve strategies to improve functional motor performance of the child with hypotonia.

This course will enhance the knowledge of the clinical reasoning used within the Contemporary NDTA Practice Model. The instructor will demonstrate the importance of identifying therapeutic strategies to build functional outcomes. The course is open to physical the, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists.

Nine educational modules with a flexible schedule that can be taken either as a pathway to NDT Certification over a two year period or independently for CE credits.
